After work today I met the boys at Tractor Supply where Dave wanted to look at baby chicks. An hour later we were going home with 6 adorable chicks of our own and a whole slew of equipment and materials required to raise them. The boys love these little guys (they're girls, actually so they will lay eggs that we can collect and eat!). It will be fun to teach Nate and Alex about chickens and let them see first hand how they grow, how to take care of them, and all the other hands on lessons our fluffy (soon-to-be-feathered) friends will teach the boys! I named the chickens McNugget, Tender, Wing, Marsala, Cacciatore, and Parmigiana but I think Nate calls them Daisy, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Spike and Dot or something....?
